Privacy Policy

At PeopleU, privacy is very important to us. Your information is collected through the PeopleU system to establish an account, provide access to our services, and to handle customer service and support. Except as otherwise provided in this policy, by using PeopleU Training, you expressly consent to our use and internal disclosure of any and all such information to our staff members who service your account.

Information We Collect

To utilize services provided by PeopleU, you may be required to provide contact and identifying information, billing information, and other personal information as indicated on the forms throughout our site. You always have the option to not provide such information, but this may not allow you to fully utilize our service’s features.

Under some circumstances we may require some additional financial information. We use your financial information, including credit card information, for billing purposes. Such information is passed to the merchant processor and does not remain on our system.

We use data collection devices such as “cookies” on certain pages of our site to help analyze web page flow and to measure promotional effectiveness. Cookies are small files placed on your hard drive that assist in providing customized services. We offer certain features that are only available through the use of a cookie. We also use cookies to allow you to enter your password less frequently during a session. Most cookies are “session cookies,” meaning that they are automatically deleted from your hard drive at the end of a session. You are free to decline our cookies if your browser permits, although in that case you may not be able to use certain features on our site and may be required to reenter your password more frequently.

Who Has Access to Your Information?

Except as otherwise provided in this policy, PeopleU will not disclose or share any of your personal information that has been collected on our website with any third party except for the organization that provides your training program(s), your account’s administrative contact, or as required by law or pursuant to a governmental request.

Other Information Collectors

To the extent that you disclose your information to other parties, different rules may apply to their use or disclosure of the information you disclose to them. PeopleU and/or the organization that provides your training program(s) may provide web links to other sites. We are not responsible for the content of those sites or their privacy policies or practices. PeopleU is not responsible for the privacy policies or practices of those organization that provide your training program(s).

Security

PeopleU employs reasonable security measures to protect your information from disclosure to or access by individuals not described or referenced in this privacy policy. While “perfect security” on the internet does not exist, we will take reasonable steps to ensure the safety and security of your personal information.

Your Legal Rights

If the General Data Protection Regulation applies to you because you are in the European Union, you have rights under data protection laws in relation to your personal data:

  • The right to be informed – that’s an obligation on us to inform you how we use your personal data (and that’s what we’re doing in this Privacy Policy)
  • The right of access – that’s a right to make what’s known as a “data subject access request” for copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • The right to rectification – that’s a right to make us correct personal data about you that may be incomplete or inaccurate
  • The right to erasure – that’s also known as the “right to be forgotten” wherein certain circumstances you can ask us to delete the personal data we have about you (unless there’s an overriding legal reason we need to keep it)
  • The right to restrict processing – that’s a right for you in certain circumstances to ask us to suspend processing personal data
  • The right to data portability – that’s a right for you to ask us for a copy of your personal data in a common format (for example, a .csv file)
  • The right to object – that’s a right for you to object, in some circumstances, to your personal data being used
  • Rights in relation to automated decision making and profiling – that’s a right you have for us to be transparent about any profiling we do, or any automated decision making. Currently, PeopleU doesn’t use any automated decision making and profiling.
